A Campaign to Transform HSU
We truly appreciate your belief in and concern for Hardin-Simmons University as it strives in its second century to provide students “an education enlightened by faith”. We remain proudly committed to transforming the lives of our students through a values-based, Christian education so that after graduation they are influenced, prepared and inspired to serve their families, communities, churches, schools, businesses and professions.
In planning for the celebration of the University’s 125th anniversary in 2016, we have completed our Strategic Plan and Campus Master Plan, two documents that will provide a clear vision for the University as it launches a campaign we will call Transformation 2020. This vision will help us focus our energy and our resources to achieve these ambitious goals by the end of this decade. This vision inspires and motivates us daily in our work at Hardin-Simmons University. We challenge you to join us in this major campaign to transform the University and its campus to improve the University experience for our students.
We invite you to read the accompanying pages, share in our excitement of what success in Transformation 2020 will mean for Hardin-Simmons University, and consider how you may participate in this campaign.
As we focus on the faith and values that make Hardin-Simmons University different, we trust that you – our alumni and friends – and our students will value this differentiation. We want to preserve and significantly improve the University as the choice for many students who desire “an education enlightened by faith.” Success in this campaign will require the cooperative efforts of many people who believe in Hardin-Simmons University. Please join our team for Transformation 2020.
